Sign Circle - youth group suggestion

NDCS - The Buzz, event information

We thought this looked good for a youth group activity this summer, is anyone interested? Let me know via email or txt :) then we can propose it to the WDCS committee.

Information from NDCS website:

Plan ahead for your summer holidays and come to Sign Circle, a 4 day camping festival.

There will be many different activities, workshops and performances for you to enjoy. You can take part lots of fun stuff or simply sit back, relax and switch off. Sign Circle has been around for 5 years. We have done things like Arts & Crafts, massage, Reiki, Henna Tattoo Art, hair braids, face painting, Yoga, Tai Chi, pony riding, archery, mud fighting, bouncing castles, trampolines and obstacle courses. We have also had workshops in Martial Arts, International Signs, Mindfulness, dancing, drumming, signed songs and many more.
This year we will have lots and lots of new things to do. Sign Circle welcomes the whole signing community; Deaf people, families, friends, groups and you! New to sign? Don't worry, come along and improve your British Sign Language!

Cinema trip and Pizza Party

Our last event was a joint trip with WDCS to the cinema to see the new Narnia film and then a trip to Little Venice in Worcester to make and eat pizzas.

Everyone had an amazing time and enjoyed the film and then had a great time making pizzas with alot of choice of toppings and some very tasty brownies to follow.

Our next event is 2nd April with Deaf Direct - Alton Towers trip.

Worcester Deaf Childrens' Society Youth Group

WDCS youth group was set up in 2010 to allow the older children of WDCS a chance to socialise together each month and share experiences whilst taking part in fun activities.

Ages range from 11-19 years and we are currently a group of 15 young people from all areas of worcestershire and with all ranges of deafness.

The youth group has strong links with Deaf Direct who run activities and residential camps for Deaf young people.

For contact details please see WDCS web page - http://www.worcdcs.org/
